Science and Religion

Description

I do not think either of them work as stand-alone.

Christianity for one, seems to fail in stand-alone. To begin with, its version of creation does not work; Had the world started off with only two human beings reproducing the way humans do, we'd never have become a 7 billion human beings. I do realize that the world worked entirely differently in the beginning of time, but two reproducing in the human way and the line eventually multiplying into billions is just not something my mind can imagine. After all there's always some limit to how soon a human being can reproduce, and more importantly, the human being would've become so inbred that the generations would've become sickly and died out. And it is unlikely everyone died of old age, ever.

Whereas evolution does seem to work perfecly up to the 7 billion human beings, as the multiplation base and way wasn't limited to begin with. Evolution also fits much more easily the fact of the variety in human races, than us lining down from two.

But, although scientifc theories appear valid for many things, soul is not one of them. I feel that science makes valid points for the matter but in the end science has to try too hard. I think it's because to begin with it has to admit that the human essence is something out of nature but still science isn't willing to embrace the concept.
I agree with science that a soul is essentially energy. Why else could we feel spiritually exhausted at times, and unstoppable at other times. And I agree that a human being is a soul that has a personality.
But I fail to see sense in science's takes on personality. There is no scientific theory I know of that would have a water-proof theory on exsistence and function of the thing called personality.
I also don't feel like science is too validly explaining the exsistence of emotional energy as in emotions.

Therefor I believe in combination of science and a higher power. Science/evolution for the physical world and a higher power for the human essence and its journey in the universe.

One thing both science and religions are prone to agree in, is that the soul survives after the body dies.

I personally have never believed we would just stop exsisting after death. Because a human - as in the soul - had to come from somewhere. Therefor we must be going somewhere. Wether it's return to the place before or passing to the next place, I have no idea. All I'm sure of is that death is not the end, there is something after death. And I hope with all my little heart that there is peace, because this life is unspeakably hard and cruel for too many poor souls. And I hope that we'll meet again those that we loved in this life. One day I may even believe so, because it does not seem likely that we'd have an amazing journey in this world and then there'd be nothing left of it after death.

The idea of rebirthing into this world faschinates me and sometimes I wish it to be true, but only sometimes - and I doubt I'll ever believe in it.

But I'm fairly comforted by my unwavering belief that this world is only a passage between the previous place and the next.

I believe that Albert Einstein stated that "Religion without science is blind and science without religion is lame."
